It is difficult for ESL students to grasp the mathematical concepts. They understand the numbers, not how to solve the problems. I have them gather in front of the room and try to use hand gestures, manipulatives, or anything I can think of to get them to understand. They all huddle together in front, making it difficult for most students to see and distracts all.
This projector will change the way I teach, and how the students learn. They will all be able to see the lesson and the strategy I choose to solve the problems. With this projector, all students can see from their seat, they will be able to copy the problem so they have a visual at home. I can model how to solve, so the students that don't understand English have a visual of what I am saying.
