I am a relatively new teacher who would love and appreciate anything you donate to my 1st-grade classroom! I have selected items below that I believe will have a positive impact on my students learning and success within my classroom.
We have some very bright but very active students. These wobble chairs and cushions will enable them to learn in a way that works best for them with the flexible seating option.
We use whiteboards for everyday spelling, writing, and math practice. However, my current hand-me-down boards have seen better days. I would love a new set to use for small-group instruction.
Young students learn best through modeling and working with manipulatives. I am asking for a few different math manipulatives that I believe will be beneficial to my students' learning and engagement that I do not currently have.
The number one job I have as a 1st-grade teacher is teaching them to read- even better if I can build a love of reading and books at the same time. I am asking for book bins to organize my classroom library for easy access for my students. They love to pick and read books at their own reading level and this will give them the autonomy to do so independently.
Lastly, post it paper. Teachers, myself included, live for chart paper! This paper will allow me to create anchor charts and learning modules for the students to refer to and learn from.
Thank you so much in advance for considering a donation to my classroom.
