As the school library media coordinator, I have the opportunity to work with all of the students in my school. We are a Title I school and all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. We are located in a small rural community on the outskirts of one of the largest military installations in the United States and we have many students that are affiliated with the military. My goal is to support our school's STEAM initiative. We are trying to create a space that will foster learning by focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math. Students will have opportunities to collaborate, to be problem solvers, to be creative and learn how to think outside the box. I want to support our initiative by providing tech tools for our students so that they can learn to code and to utilize technology in their learning.
