I see many of my students go through periods of homelessness throughout the school year. Not knowing where they will sleep or sleeping in a car for days on end leads to a level of stress no child should have to experience. We want to give these children the basic personal care items needed so being clean and fresh is not a concern. It is already hard to be a teenager, being clean should not be a concern too.
I want them to be able to take care of their personal needs and not worry about their hygiene. Soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes and feminine pads will be provided to help students stay clean and well kept. These children will be able to come to school and get basic personal care such as oral hygiene and hair grooming taken care of.
