The items requested in this project will allow me to offer a makerspace (a place for students to be creative with high and low tech materials) within my classroom. The cart is a necessity to provide storage for the materials students will use to create. Individual items including cubelets, magformers, k鈥橬EX, Makey Makey, 3D pens, and textile craft supplies will encourage open-ended exploration within robotics, circuits, programming, and creative construction for students. The hand tools and hot glue guns are necessary to construct the hands-on projects. Makerspaces within the classroom provide powerful opportunities for students to participate in activities requiring innovation, engagement, and creativity. Thus, leading to inquisitive, imaginative and motivated students!
