We are preparing high schoolers to think about college as attainable and completable. Our goal is to inspire and convince students not just to gain admission to college, not just to survive, but to thrive once they get there. Some of them may not consider the opportunity based on financial realities.
Some students may not consider the college opportunity based on their (unreasonable) fears of culture shock, transition and adjustment. Allowing them space to manage their hesitations and to build confidence in team-building and project management, I hope to grow these young adults into effective participants in their own continued growth in the world they encounter after high school.
