I am requesting six iPads for my classroom because this type of technology will allow my students to explore and learn right at the touch of their fingertips!
These iPads would be an imperative tool to have in our classroom because they have the ability to engage and motivate students as well as provide rigor to lessons and differentiation for students. All around the world in this 21st century, everyone uses technology in some way.
Our iPads would be used in a small group setting throughout a variety of subjects. They will especially be highly beneficial during reading and math centers. Students will be able to use the iPads to independently document what they've been learning through pictures, drawings, videos etc. on an app called "Seesaw". Using the iPads to build their own student work portfolio will allow my students and myself to see their progress and growth over time.
These iPads will improve my students' learning in multiple ways. During our intervention block, my struggling students will be able to use the iPad to review a lesson that they missed or didn't quite grasp. The will be able to open an app called, "Show Me" which allows them to listen and watch voice recorded whiteboard lessons by me! However, putting the learning back into their hands, my students will also be able to use the iPads to teach each other! They will be able to research and create their own presentations with the use of the iPad.
There are so many beneficial uses these iPads will have and so much happiness they will bring to my students!
