I will use the motorized LEGO set to help students solve real world problems. They will learn about a topic (living on the moon, for example). Then, they will need to find real world solutions based on research and then use their creativity to design, motorize, and the code a robot that meets their needs. These lessons will help build creativity, confidence, and collaboration skills.
Working in groups, students will plan out solutions for what their noon base would look like, and then create a robot that will help them with their needs (digging ice to get water for example).
