The STEM activities that I'm hoping to get funded will provide my students with a fun, hands-on opportunity to explore how the motion of objects can be changed by push and pull forces. The spinning tops, gears, and chain reaction kits will provide my students with updated activities and materials that are needed to support this science standard.
These new activities will allow students to work collaboratively with their peers and problem solve while learning about force and motion. My goal is to have students work in small groups and to use these activities as science centers. Working together in small groups to problem solve will also allow my students to build on their social skills with their peers.
