We need Tri-Fold Boards and glue to present their college research projects to the school and their parents. Every 6th grade student will conduct an online research project about a college or university. While in technology, they will be discovering a lot of information about the college that will be displayed as they will become a representative of their institution for a student led college fair. They also have the option, if they would like, to write letters to the college for additional information and college gear (banners, pencil, pamphlets, t-shirt, etc.).
In an effort to have students REACH HIGHER and become college and career ready, our school will be hosting its very first Mock College Fair on May 1st. The 6th graders will create powerpoints, which they will then print out to present visually on a Tri-Fold board in our cafeteria like a real College Fair. The 6th graders will become the college reps and present the information discovered about their higher education institutions to students, staff, parents, and even Board of Education members!
