As a high school English Language Arts teacher working to build my classroom library and provide my students with comfortable, flexible seating options, I find it extremely valuable to feedback from my students on the classroom environment and the book options available to them. My goal is to expose them to literature that matches their interests. I believe giving students a diverse selection of authors, characters, settings, and themes to choose from will help immensely with student engagement. I also believe that having a variety of seating options will provide an environment conducive to their reading engagement.
