This project will allow my students to have a hands-on learning experience in our health classes, while learning about their bodies and how they work. As a beginning teacher I aim to implement new, fun, and exciting ways to promote student growth and learning during health classes. For this project I am requesting 7 different organ models. Each model will give students the opportunity to deeply analyze the different organs and parts of their bodies.
Being funded for this project will allow my students the opportunity to work together to create and analyze these models to further their learning experience about the human body. I want students to have the opportunity to use these models for a more in-depth learning experience, rather than simply looking at a film. The models of the heart, eye, body, skeleton, hand, and heart pump model, will allow my students to work in different stations together and individually to better understand where different organs are and how they work in the body.
