Throughout the years of teaching Pre-K, I have discovered how talented and ingenious these four- and five-year olds are. They take their academics very seriously. It is important for them to discover, investigate, and learn about their surroundings.
My students need this light table to further their imaginations through learning. I plan to use the table and its accessories mostly during their learning center times. I can just imagine what wonderful words, math problems, and science investigations they can come up with with this wonderful tool. They will be able to use these manipulatives during our whole group and small group time, learning letters and sounds as they make words, numbers, and sets as we explore counting skills. My students will be using the Space-Saver Color-Changing Light Table during their writing, science, math and ABC centers.
The Magna-Tiles Set and the Light Table Manipulative Center will help them during the writing, ABC, and math centers with their writing skills, letter and sound recognition, and writing and recognizing their numbers. My students will use the Light Table Pegs & Pegboard during their math centers to better equip them with counting and simple adding and subtracting. During their science center they will be using the Light Table Sensory Tray to improve their knowledge on textures, colors, and mixing different elements.
