My goal is to give my students a better environment in which to learn. I have always as a teacher considered movement to play a large role in how children learn in my classroom.
My students are moving often every day in our room and there are many opportunities where they are not expected to be still. There are times when students need to sit and complete work. These stools will allow students with special learning needs a way that they can continue to move but yet be able to complete their assignments.
These wobble chairs and stools will provide students options for seating during whole class or small group instruction. This project will address the needs of students who have a difficult time being productive by sitting still. It will allow them the movement they need that will help them be productive and organize their thoughts. Brain research also shows that physical activity like moving, stretching and walking can enhance the learning process.
