2nd graders are some of the most eager to learn kids! They love reading, love school, and love using manipulatives to help them learn. Having this set of iPads will allow a multitude of different learning opportunities in my classroom. Often times, my students and I have brainstormed several ways to make reading come to life, but have fallen short with the technology to do so. With these iPads, they will use them in STEM based centers, manipulate them when doing research, watch interactive lessons, and will have the chance to interact with stories. Not to mention the endless variety of apps they will be able to manipulate at their fingertips. To be able to provide my students with something tangible that they can interact with would be so exciting for not only them, but for me! As a teacher, it is so rewarding to see the sparkle in a child's eye when they are given the resources to think outside of the box. This project will make a difference because, my students are hungry for learning. With this grant, they would be given the opportunity to take learning into their own hands. This grant will help to close the technology gap, and will allow my students to reach their full potential in my classroom!
