In our new norm, each child needs their own set of supplies for every subject. Without crayons, markers, paint and glue, there would be no outlet for creativity. As many of my students are non-verbal, these supplies will give them an outlet to express themselves.
Art class has always been a safe place for exploration and now it is even more important than ever to provide that experience for my students. With these materials, they will have to opportunity to let their feelings be known and not keep them bottled up inside.
