These new materials will expand play themes that I currently use by giving children the opportunity to build and take on different roles. I watch them pretend play each day and there are times that materials are missing and they need a prop or block that will increase their level of thinking.
By playing with these new materials, the children in my classroom with explore and gain knowledge about the world around them. These materials and props can be used to increase communication and language skills with peers, develop math and literacy skills, and may spark a child's interest in a particular area!
