In the second grade science curriculum, students are required to learn about life cycles. What is the best way for students to learn about a life cycle? Let them watch it with their own eyes! The money donated will be used to purchase four butterfly kits for the four second grade classes at our school. Each kit comes with live caterpillars and a butterfly house so that we can watch the life cycle as it happens.
These caterpillars will allow the students to see the life cycle of butterflies rather than only reading about it or watching a video. The students will be so excited to see the caterpillars transform into butterflies. This will be an experiment they will remember for years to come!
