Step aerobics is a fun way to introduce rhythm, patterns, and locomotor movements to young students. Step aerobics is a form of exercise that involves stepping up and down onto a stationary block. This is a high-intensity exercise that combines cardio with weight training to provide for a great workout. Students will enjoy exercise to music and at the same time with challenge their bodies!
The use of these step boxes will continually challenge my students to lift their body weight in a variety of ways. Creativity and ownership of their fitness can also be expressed when the students are given opportunities to create their own routines!
Some health benefits of step aerobics include: improved cardiovascular health, muscular strength. This program will also be safe for our elementary aged students because it is low impact. When it comes to aerobic exercise, step aerobics is one of the best聽options out there.
