In mathematics, there are many concepts students are asked to visualize. One of the most complicated topics to explain to a classroom of students in Geometry is to visualize the cross sections of 3d objects. I would like to use Virtual reality to let students virtually manipulate (and slice) 3d objects to see what cross sections are made.
Rotating 2d shapes to make 3d shapes is another topic in Geometry, that I feel would be much easier to understand if taught using virtual reality. Students could rotate the 2d shapes and actually see what is happening as they rotate the 2d shapes.
