Students are required to take standardized testing on the computer (instead of pencil and paper like we remember). This becomes increasingly difficult when the computers our district provides are nearly 10 years old, do not have sound, freeze, glitch, are missing keys, and a million other things.
Help us bridge the achievement gap with some new computers for our students!
Students are required to do testing, testing practice, and other activities daily on unreliable computers. It becomes increasingly more difficult to lift our students up when their classroom only works half the time.
The unavailability of resources, and funds for resources, for our students contributes to the achievement/opportunity gap between the majority of our students in the county, and the more affluent minority in other parts of the city. Education is the key to bridging the gap.
