The materials I am requesting will help to make our class more functional while also increasing our love of reading. The leveled books will be able to reach the big range of readers I have, including my students who are having a bit of a reading struggle. The book cart will help to keep these amazing books neat and organized and will help students to find exactly what book is on their level.
The chair pockets will greatly contribute to the movement in our room. With these storage pockets, students will be able to better keep track of their books, journals, supplies, etc. instead of our current use of storage drawers which tend to get cluttered and cause students to lose precious time while searching for their journal, etc.
The headphones will have a home in our technology center where students can work on their math facts or building word fluency on our computers, without having to interrupt the rest of the class with loud sounds/music.
The floor pillows will allow students to be more comfortable while working on centers on the floor, making the seating in our room much more flexible and engaging.
