The materials in this project will allow me to continue to provide powerful learning opportunities to my students while targeting their specific academic needs. As a teacher that serves English Language Learners, it is crucial to continually develop students' vocabulary through visuals and hands-on activities. The gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers would allow me to purchase an interactive language wall, anchor charts, and supplementary activities to our core curriculum. The laminating pouches will allow me to preserve these resources to be able serve the students in my classroom for many years to come!
Our school site focuses on a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system to develop the character of our students. Through the PBIS program, our students are learning how to regulate their behavior and emotions in an appropriate way. Purchasing the stickers and squish toys would allow me to reward students for positive behavior with items that are appropriate for their age.
Finally, this project would allow me to provide an opportunity for creativity through providing each of the students with their own Play-dough. In our classroom, we use Play-dough for STEM challenges. These activities challenge students to achieve a specific goal while only using the resources provided. Through these lessons students are working collaboratively to develop essential problem-solving skills.
