By having pencils and markers every day for class, students are able to participate in math class without having to use a pen or other writing utensils that do not allow them to erase and correct learning mistakes. School budgets only go so far and teachers are stretched financially as well.
Giving low-income students an abundance of supplies allows the student and teacher to focus on the the main goal which is learning and growing each and every day.
All students can and will learn if provided with the proper resources to do so. By providing these students with these resources, we are giving them an opportunity to win each and every day and others will notice!!
