I will need to have (3) MP3 Players. This project will aide 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students that are not meeting grade-level expectations in reading. This system intervenes in small groups of struggling readers to maximize growth. The MP3 player will have recorded non-fiction stories that the children will listen to. The student reads the story three times, tracking and subvocalizing, with the recorded story. This will aide in improving their fluency in reading. This will also help to increase independence in their reading. The children will then take an assessment and most likely move on to the next DRA level.
