The novel Night has been taught to students across America for years as a look into what happened to several million people during WWII. We will use these new books to continue our study of autobiographies and history. Students will use examples from the books to complete research projects, as well as writing their own memoir to explain a trying time in their life.
The books that we have now were purchased in 1986 and have not been replaced since. The books are splitting in half, falling apart, missing pages, etc. Students deserve to study with materials that are in working order. When they feel they are valued, then they will put more into their education.
