I have the privilege of teaching students who lack basic resources. For the vast majority of my students, they lack technology outside of school. My students learning abilities are diverse, however, in regards to socioeconomic, they're roughly equal. For the majority of my students, they struggle with many challenges outside of school, but my classroom offers authenticity, structure, stability, and most of all, a loving and challenging learning environment.
My students are learning to think like historians. They're learning to apply their historical thinking skills of the past to present day issues.
My students lack the basic resources to produce adequate research. We have iPad's & Chromebooks on reserve, but when it comes time to print basic images and primary sources, we encounter problems. As team lead, I'm also needing to print basic documents for my fellow teachers. (Still revising)
