Having a set of Chromebooks will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. In our heterogeneous classroom we have students with math skills below, on, and above grade level. We even have some ESL/SLIFE students who were unable to attend school before moving to the United States. After identifying students needs, these Chromebooks would allow me to better differentiate content to meet each student where they are at, helping them achieve growth.
Using these Chromebooks students would be able to: record their explanations for how they solved math problems to share with their peers, share pictures of their work with the class/school, write letters about math misconceptions, utilize apps for various math practice skills, etc. All of these activities would allow me to provide more activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students.
