Most of my students come to school without any supplies because of factors their families are facing at home. We have a limited number of chairs in our small classrooms. When it's time to go to a center, they are dragging their chairs with them just to have a place to sit. We need stools.
My students need headphones every day at our listening center, computer and iPad stations. Most of the time, the headphones students have brought are not working properly. We need headphones.
We need a structured cart for checking out and returning books in an organized fashion! The cart would designate a clear place for students to look for and return books so books will not get lost.
We also need writing notebooks to help the kids learn how to write properly and build their writing skills! A lot of my kids come to school without any basic background knowledge and have never had an opportunity to color, hold a pencil or use scissors.
I am a proud member of our state teachers association ATPE! I only want the best for my students and their future.
