My students have a relatively new school building that was only open for a short time before it was closed due to the pandemic. Now that we have returned to in-person learning, the walls of the school building are still plain, white, and empty. There are no bulletin boards in the hallways to display my students' amazing artwork. The walls are white painted cinder blocks and tape will not bond to it effectively/safely.
Having enclosed bulletin boards at the entrance to the School of Communications hallway will allow for the students' artwork to be displayed professionally, rotated often, and featured without the worry of damage.
The students love seeing their artwork on display. Their peers and other teachers see and comment on their achievements. It helps to not only make the students feel successful but also to create a sense of community amongst students and staff in the school. A decorated hallway is a happy hallway that will add color and creativity to our learning environment.
