Every day, my students and I strive to be better! While studying the required math and science materials, we also take time to study ourselves and how to be a better person in the world. We do this through Philosophy Fridays. We read books and have deep, thoughtful conversations. My students need easy and accessible books to learn and share together.
We push ourselves to be better, stronger, and kinder every day. We challenge each other to think outside of the box and open our minds. We learn how to listen, care, and put ourselves in others' situations.
Not only do we grow as people, but we develop critical-thinking skills. These skills are vital to being a successful learner. All this is done through a simple read aloud and a thought-provoking question.
