You have to remember I teach four year olds who have never been in a structured school setting. With this in mind, I am trying to make my classroom as accessible and user friendly as possible. I want my kiddos to be able to easily see and choose materials they are intrigued with so they can freely explore and spark the creativity and curiosity in their little sponge-like brains.
Currently, I have a hodge-podge of old, different colored bins that you have to pull out of the shelving unit in order to see what is in them. Ideally, the simplicity, neatness and structure of see-thru bins will excite my students as they look, like looking thru the windows of a toy store, to play and explore with math and language art manipulatives.
