We are a high school in the poorer part of the city and most of my students come from a lower economic background and like most teachers across America, I use my own personal money for classroom supplies and at the moment we are in the need of supplies. We are putting students at a disadvantage if the other schools have quality supplies and we don't have the same quality.
Having the proper supplies can inspire confidence in students and give them a desire to want to come to school and to do well in class.
