In today's classroom there is not one type of learner or one way to teach the content. The students need different manipulatives to help make the content relatable. The fraction strips will help the students see concrete examples of the content. The nonfiction text sets are examples of our science content that can be used in reading as well. The Categorical book sets will be used during our word study block.
Creating rigorous activities that are engaging and hands on is key to improve student learning. The wipe off sleeves will help the students during small group to help show their learning and work collaboratively with other students in the class. I want to provide my students with a variety of resources to help meet all learning styles. I want my students to not just learn the material, but be able to apply the information and truly understand what they are learning. The throwable speaker ball will give all students a voice that can be heard in the class. I want them to be public speakers that are proud of what they have to say.
