This will make their eyes light up since this equipment requested will be new to them. They can learn a sport that they have never played before. They can teach each other as they learn. I will be able to replace it with some of the beat down equipment that we still hold on to.
Physical Education is an outlet for them. There isn't much to do in an unsafe neighborhood that surrounds them. Physical Education aids in children's academic success as well. It is a mandated curriculum that always seems to be on the bottom of the list with education. Physical Activity is lacking in all youth and the new equipment will open new doors and options for kids who live in less than desirable conditions.
