Hello all! Thank you so much for visiting. My name is Korto Dixon, and I teach a wonderful group of students in an Early Childhood Special Education classroom for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The students in this program come from a many different backgrounds, and show many different: strengths, skills and interests! The classroom is set up specifically to meet each students needs in areas such as: sensory, academic, social, cognitive, and other daily living skills needs. In order to meet these needs, curriculum is adapted on a daily basis to promote learning and engagement. Supplies needed on a day to day basis for these adaptations include: laminate pages, velcro for visual schedules, fidgets to promote participation in group, sensory materials for exploration, and other consumables. We thank you for visiting our page and by helping us as we work every day to follow the idea that every child can learn!
