For students of the working middle-class community that attend my school, they do not always have the luxury of renting their own instruments. It is my duty as a teacher who serves this community to provide equal opportunities for them by having different instruments available to borrow should the need ever arise.
A new snare drum and tenor saxophone will be a huge asset to our music classroom as students who otherwise couldn't afford to buy or rent them will be able to play them at school. As I continue to work towards bringing in new students to the program, the program itself should be able to provide for everyone. Instruments are expensive, no matter what way you look at it, but so long as I have the will, there will always be a way.
