The majority of the students attending my school come from a high poverty area. The poverty rate coupled with the amount of students speaking another language in their homes, impacts student achievement. I have a classroom of English language learners. They come to school full of energy and ready to learn! They enjoy doing hands-on activities and would love to have more books for our classroom library.
