As we have seen obesity rates climb dramatically, my desire is to have the funding to purchase equipment and educational materials to provide our students with hands-on equipment to increase their activity level and track their progress. Student will learn how to eat healthy and stay active to prevent life long health complications.
We re requesting sports equipment including fitbits, exercise bands and exercise video instructions which will be used as tools that students can increase their physical activity and monitor their activity to decrease the negative health conditions associated with being overweight.
With negative health trends such as rising childhood obesity rates and diseases from sedentary lifestyles, wouldn't it be cool to be part of reversing that trend by inspiring and educating children to improve their health through fitness and nutrition?
