The students at my school come from diverse backgrounds and have many different learning styles. These materials will help students meet their individual learning needs and teach social emotional skills to improve student success.
The donations will be used to purchase sensory objects and social emotional tools. We need stability stools, fidget cushions, and sensory toys to assist students who need sensory stimulation to do their best learning. Alternative seating and sensory toys have been shown to increase attention and encourage self regulation among students with sensory challenges. The school will use these items for students who need extra help staying focused in the classroom. The temper tamers and feelings jars will help students improve their social emotional skills. All of these items will contribute to positive outcomes, which will lead to long term success for my students.
