Our students have discovered that the agriculture industry is directly impacted by the choices consumers make and see themselves as stewards of the land and its resources. They use a set of wireless sensors to conduct lab experiments during which they collect data regarding carbon-dioxide levels, temperature, pressure, and pH levels. These eight tablets will allow my students to visually chart and interpret the data they collect with the digital sensors. With the help of funding my students will be able to perform labs with high quality lab equipment and see the relationship agriculture plays in their scientific learning. By using agriculture as the driving force of their learning, my students will be able to see first hand how relevant agriculture is in their daily lives.
Donations to this project will put tablets in the hands of our scientists, allowing them to take the data they have collected and analyze it, and then present their findings to their scientific learning community.
