Engaging fiction and nonfiction books create lifelong readers. Most of my students rely solely on books they read at school. They need high interest books that they can take home daily. These books will become part of our classroom 'book take-home library,' so students can continue their in-class reading at home. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. I have been observing and surveying students to learn what books grab their attention. With these new books, my students will have more choice that will allow them to read independently at their own level. Then, they will be able take these books home to read and share with their families. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more and more! By being able to take these books home daily, my students will grow into stronger readers. This project will help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
