Our classroom is called the Mistake Zone because in math students tend to think that perfection is learning when research has shown that making mistakes is a sign of learning and does not need to be a negative part of math like they may usually think.
The erasable whiteboards will give each student their own learning voice to show their work on questions without worrying about who is right or who is wrong. As a teacher I can see who understood a concept and who did not just by scanning the classroom.
The iPad will allow me to capture our classroom in the moment and share those moments with families. Students will also be able to capture these moments and show their leadership skills.
Clipboards are a great way to allow students to take advantage of their mobility or needs to move while still being able to write and take notes without being confined to a seat.
Each material is here for students with different learning needs to have those needs met or students who show their learning different to share their learning with the rest of the class in an authentic way.
