By giving students the choice of where they want to sit in the classroom, I am creating a more comfortable environment that enables students to learn in a way that best suits them. I want to give more control to the students so they will take ownership and become invested in their learning.
Self-directed learning and collaborative problem solving are essential for success. By allowing students to choose flexible seating that works best for them, they will have opportunities to synergize with different classmates of different abilities to help everyone be successful.
As a Leader In Me school, we are continually looking for ways our students can find their voice and improve their self-esteem. By feeling in charge of their learning, they will become successful and responsible citizens.
