Research shows that alternative seating benefits all students. Students are better able to focus, they are less restless and there is an increase in participation. Increased motivation and engagement is the key to student success. Each student is given a choice, to find a spot where they learn best. Putting kids in control of their own learning fosters confidence, responsibility and self awareness.
The use of alternative seating will my provide students with the opportunity to move just enough to assist them in learning more effectively. Physical activity – moving, stretching, and walking – can actually enhance the learning process.
