By being able to implement Scholastic Math magazines my students, at a lower reading level and math level, will be able to work independently and gain confidence in their abilities to solve problems and see a real-world connection.
In my classroom, I do whole group instruction and learning centers. By having Scholastic Math magazines as a resource in one of my centers, students will be able to work independently and gain their confidence in math. These magazines will be at their reading level and the math problems they see throughout, they will be able to solve independently. I believe in building their confidence in math and lessening the frustrational level.
