Many of my students will show up to school empty handed on the first day.
I want to create a space where students can be successful regardless of their family's ability to afford school supplies. This project includes basic supplies like markers, crayons, scissors, glue, and pencils. Some teacher supplies are included: anchor charts, Mr. Sketch markers, and organizational tubs. I've also included pocket charts to ensure our day runs smoothly. They will be used to display our daily schedule and to review the monthly calendar in our morning meeting. Lastly, you'll see I've requested several supplies to use during our math and literacy centers: additional storage tubs, dice, and math manipluatives.
