I am just starting out at this school, and I thought it would be great to have some new items to start the year with. Donors Choose did not have my grade level listed, so I selected Kindergarten. I work with Young 5s, which is between PreK and Kindergarten. I feel that making the classroom feel like home, helps the children feel like they are safe and secure in their environment.
Dramatic play items help children to work through problem solving, and everyday scenarios with teacher guidance. In this area, we will explore how food can be prepared, various foods children eat at home, etc. We will also explore literacy concepts such as following a recipe and making grocery lists.
The possibilities are endless when imagination is involved!
