Sitting in a chair all day is no fun for an adult and is especially challenging for a child. Attention difficulties make sitting in traditional chairs very uncomfortable for children who need to wiggle and move. These alternative seating options will provide sensory input for all students as they rotate through classes and learning stations throughout the day. In my classroom, children often come to the carpet with clipboards during lessons. Having a cushion or scoop chair will provide personal space and stimulation not achieved through sit Offering different choices will provide freedom and empowerment from the confines of a traditional hard back chair so children are free to stretch their bodies and their minds!
