I have close to 850 students in class each week in my elementary school. This is a Title I school. My students are bright and witty, but haven't been exposed to much art enriching experiences at this point. The majority of students in my school district are first generation or second generation residents. Often they come from blue collar backgrounds, from families striving to make living and improve their lives.
